MUSIC THERAPY INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS!!!!
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN MUSIC THERAPY?

Infinity Music Therapy Services
offers a unique opportunity for high school and college students as well as new professionals to explore the field of music therapy through a job shadow internship program each summer. This is the only opportunity like this in the state and one of only a handful in the country.  During this internship, interns participate in weekly staff meetings and workshops to get a behind the scene view on the profession. They cover topics such as how music therapists design session plans, how music therapists choose instruments for clinical sessions, and how a private practice is built. In addition, interns participate in field observations each week in variety of school, home, and clinic settings with the clinicians on our team. They have the opportunity to observe live music therapy sessions with children and adults with special needs, mental health disorders, and wellness needs. Finally, interns lead a free community music group for children with special needs to gain some first hand experience of what goes into building a session. This is an excellent opportunity for students considering a degree in music therapy.

Visit www.infinitymusictherapy.com to apply by April 1st.
